Mr. Methenitis practices in the area of gaming law, corporate law, franchise law, and international trade law. To assist gaming clients, Mark focuses on emerging and continuing legal issues created in the electronic gaming world. He has pursued substantial independent research on legal issues affecting the businesses operating in the gaming industry. To showcase his knowledge and to assist the gaming community in analysis of legal issues, Mark developed the Law of the Game blog. The blog focuses exclusively on legal issues related to electronic gaming and gambling.
Mark maintains a successful practice assisting corporate clients in intellectual property matters, franchise and distribution law, and corporate transactions. He has counseled corporate clients on matters at all stages of the corporate life cycle, on tax issues for both international and domestic clients, and on trade issues, including ITAR compliance. Mark has drafted many complex documents and agreements for his corporate clients, involving a range of matters including asset and business acquisitions, new company start-ups, franchise agreements and related documents, license agreements and related documents, real estate matters, patent licenses, and purchase and sale agreements of all kinds.
